Gameplay FAQs:
Q: How
do I control the Piggy Bank?
A: If you are playing on a computer,
you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard. The left and right arrow keys make
the Piggy Bank run in that direction respectively. The down arrow key makes the
Piggy Bank stop, and the up arrow key makes the Piggy Bank jump. If you
are on a mobile device, such as a Tablet or smartphone, use the on-screen
controls that appear automatically.
Q: What
is a Money Troll?
A: A Money Troll represents the things in life that cause us not to save
money for our retirement, like speeding tickets, and doing extensive renovations
to kitchens.
Q: How
do I eliminate a Money Troll?
A: By jumping directly onto the Money Troll's head. This will cause the
Piggy Bank to "Super Jump" up to the upper platforms and make the Money Troll
disintegrate into the ether leaving no residue.
Q: Can I
play this on my phone?
A: Some phone devices that have web browsers with Flash Player 10.0 or
above installed may be able to play the game, though we can't account for how
well the game will play.
Q: How
is the score tallied?
A: Each level
represents 15 years of savings. Interest is compounded for the amount you save
for that level. When you finished the game you have been saving for 45 years,
which will give you an idea of how much money you may be able to save for your
actual retirement if you make regular deposits into your account. (Keep in mind, this is only a game and these are hypothetical scenarios). While playing
the game, it's important to remember to deposit your Piggy Banked coins into
your retirement "account" by jumping onto the "Save Coins" platform. Otherwise,
you may lose that money if you run into one of the "Money Trolls."
Q: What
is a "Savings Goal"?
A: This is the real score to beat. You're
trying to save this amount for your retirement. Stash & Dash® is just a way for
you to conceptualize what it will take to get you to a comfortable virtual retirement.
Q: What's the best way to get a higher score?
A: The secret to the game is this . . . Select the highest "Savings
Goal". Collect every coin. Collect every bonus coin. Jump on every "Money Troll"
and save all your Piggy Banked coins at every deposit platform. Do this . . .
and you will receive the highest score ever!!
Q: How
can I get to the higher platforms?
A: Jumping directly on the head of a "Money Troll" will activate the
"Super Jump" feature propelling the Piggy Bank up to the higher platforms.
Q: What
is the "Save Coins" platform?
A: You want to jump on it. Trust us. It's how you keep your moolah safe
from the Money Trolls.
Q: What
are the system requirements to play Stash & Dash®?
A: Stash & Dash® should play fine on any 21st century computer, but as
with most computer tasks, it'll play best on a faster machine. The game also
requires your web browser to have Flash Player 10.0 or above. You can download
the latest version of Flash Player here.
Q: What
if this FAQ page didn't answer my question or concern?
A: If you are having technical issues, you can click on the "Contact this
App" link on the Stash & Dash® App page to post a message to
us or contact us at StashAndDashApp@transamerica.com
Q: Why
did Transamerica Retirement Solutions make this game?
A: Just for
fun. And we think you should start saving money for
your retirement; early and often.

Facebook FAQs:
Q: How
can I challenge friends to play?
A: The best way is to use the "Invite Friends"
button that appears while you're playing the game and at the end of each level.
Otherwise, you can email them the link, or text it, or write it on a post it
note and have it delivered. Whichever is easiest. The important thing is
that you have friends.
Q: Can I
post my score on my Facebook page?
A: Yes. When the game is completed (after Level 3), a "Post My Score To
Facebook" button appears and gives you an opportunity to put in a personalized
comment. We'll leave that up to you.
