INVESTMENT ADVISOR

The TR Transamerica Equity Fund is a Separate Account portfolio maintained by Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company (TFLIC). The TR Transamerica Equity Fund invests exclusively in the Transamerica Equity Fund, a Transamerica Life Insurance Company^ (TLIC) Separate Account, which had an inception date of September 30, 1987 and is managed by Transamerica Investment Management, LLC.-Gary Rolle, CFA, Lead Portfolio Manager, joined Transamerica in 1967.

INVESTMENT DESCRIPTION

Best suited for investors who wish to participate in the stock market and who have the ability to accept above-average volatility in pursuit of long-term capital growth. The Transamerica Equity Fund (TEF) invests primarily in common stocks of "premier" growth companies that are undervalued in the stock market. "Premier" companies are defined as those who have: strong management with superior track records; well-defined plans for the future; low-cost proprietary products; dominance in market share or specialized market niches; strong earnings and cash flows to finance future growth; or shareholder orientation by increasing dividends, stock repurchases and strategic acquisitions. The TEF will generally invest at least 65% of its assets in the common stocks of a narrowly defined selection of growth-oriented companies - generally fewer than 50. The TEF may also invest in preferred stocks, warrants and bonds convertible into common stocks. In selecting investments, the managers focus on the potential for each prospective holding (a "bottom-up" approach) rather than the economic or business cycle (a "top-down" approach).

RISK/RETURN

Common stocks are subject to stock market price volatility. Price volatility means that stock prices can go up or down due to a variety of economic or market conditions. The TEF manages these risks through thorough meticulous research that identifies fundamentally sound, premier, undervalued companies.
